Project Description
The fantastic children from Plymstock School HMS Heroes group discovered Reading Force themselves and then asked Tracy, their group leader, to contact us so they could take part. We sent them scrapbooks, they put up posters, and Tracy bought some of our recommended reads. In their HMS Heroes room is a shelf and a display table for the Reading Force books and these have been borrowed, shared, taken home, read and talked about. And they’ve been spreading the word about Reading Force – one Hero gave a talk about the scheme to younger children to encourage them to take part. We’re pleased that even their mascot bear, Commander, got involved!
