Tom is the author of over 30 books and his latest series, Rugby Academy, was inspired by children of serving RAF personnel, using their input to get life as a Service child right. During the 2015 Reading Force Roadshow Tom has been entertaining and inspiring over 1,700 Service children and their families at ten schools across the country.
Sara has written two rip-roaring girl pirate books, Dread Pirate Fleur and the Ruby Heart, and Dread Pirate Fleur and the Hangman’s Noose. Sara helped launch Reading Force 2013 on board HMS Warrior, and also visited Harestock Primary School in Hampshire, where she corralled all children present to become Bookaneers!
Author and illustrator of the best-selling Sir Charlie Stinky Socks series, Kristina has always loved making up stories and making a mess with paper, paints and glue. As a Service child herself, Reading Force is an initiative close to Kristina’s heart and she launched the partnership between Storybook Waves and Reading Force at Whale Island Nursery in Portsmouth.
Kathryn has written over 25 books for children of all ages. A great supporter of Reading Force, Kathryn helped launch Reading Force for Little Ones in Aldershot with a host of animal puppets. Reading Force families have loved many of Kathryn’s titles including The Very Noisy Jungle, and Click Clack Crocodile’s Back.
Liz entertained children from Army families at an after-school event in Aldershot, Hampshire. The Snail and the Whale story telling session was run in conjunction with the Action for Children Children's Centre and involved lots of fun decorating paper plates and turning them into snails, followed by lots of singing and dancing.
